This has everything I like in a song right now. It's upbeat and and happy and smart and melancholic, and I'm enjoying it with my Arizona Lemonade.

And it's a country song. Have I mentioned how much country love music I've been listening to lately? Damn, there's something about listening to a American person from a rural part of the country tell you parts of somebody's life story in plain English within a structure strictly bound by genre conventions and acoustic guitar.

Von Stein's rule - on a corridor with synchronized signals buses should use the following stopping pattern:
Near side (immediately prior to a signal) - Far side (immediately following the subsequent signal) - Near side - Far side.
This rule allows the bus to avoid red signals at two out of every three signals in the corridor.

Yep. Assuming the signals are synchronized properly, and operating properly, and traffic conditions are favourable. Admittedly, I think that means it works most of the time. So if the bus accelerates fast enough it will be okay to clear the traffic signal.

Do you know the derivative of acceleration with respect to time is jerk?

Last night Jacob, the editor from Spring 2012, messaged me to see how the paper was going.

Jacob: How is the paper looking
Me: uh, i think there's going to be a lot of content assuming everybody delivers
Jacob: Wait... Have you laid out anything yet
Me: nina showed me things on the last production weekend
Me: unless you mean for this paper. well, lots of time
Jacob: Wait ummm... What?
Jacob: You should start it now haha
Jacob: Like it has to be out by Wednesday right?
Jacob: And it takes a lot of time to deliver and the advisory board has to read it first
Me: i am very, very aware of the schedule jacob
Me: would you recommend actually using the magic spreadsheet or doing it straight in indesign
Jacob: I did it in InDesign straight, I also had the whole weekend though
Me: yeah, that's next week.
Me: >.>
Me: oh lol you think it's production weekend right now.
Jacob: Ok this makes more sense
Jacob: I was like um I don't know if it's cool to be so nonchalant on Sunday night hahaha

Yeah, you're the jerk. Made me feel like a slacker and should have been doing layout a week in advance.
