First day of work; orientation tours all day. Haven't been so bored since the physics class trip to the aerospace research facility. Later found out that assigned lab is in an unmapped isolated basement area and that supervisor is on vacation. All in all not too bad; seems like an interesting project - new method of treating prostate cancer. I would be constructing the applicator device thing. Very cool stuff. People there are not horrible. Would be excited if I did not feel grossly underqualified. I still hate it when holidays are effectively about a week and a half long.
Now regarding the previous post: the theorem in category 4) was found not to apply to this situation. Several premises were demonstrated false. I am clearly not obsessed enough over Mercedes Lackey's Mage Storms trilogy I want to read - trashy but engrossing fantasy. Cannot believe I am still on book one. I used to read faster. Also used to be better at math. And not out of shape. Furthermore sex as an act remains uninteresting, but sex as a social activity holds a certain fascination I overlooked. Spent a lot of time connecting with my inner shipper. Was amused at several impossible pairings.
Red, yellow, and green cards were provided in one presentation booth. Ref traffic lights. Spent that 20 minutes of inaudible presentation rating people as having appeal on the yes/drunk/no scale. Some results surprising, others not at all. I vow never to socially drink so much again. How did I miss
The Garden of Earthly Delights being reenacted in the backyard? Does not mean am becoming teetotaler; that would be unrealistic.
I ate six Timbits and gained three pounds. Free food is the best food. Still underweight but only because muscle is denser than fat.
Exhausted anyways. At least the TTC has decent AC. Really wanted a guy upon whose shoulder I could sleep while on a bus, in comfortable silence. Sore throat, need to clear off the Jolly Ranchers. Water still in ears. Conversation is irritating.
Too hot. This is Canada. I'm going to phone the paintball place and check if they have at least a little AC in the indoor arena. Probably do but I don't want to risk it. If not forget it. Would be a shame. Spoke to a good friend for advice. Haven't seen him in years, sadly. Thank you, Mike. Happy hunting.
^ lol.
also, i'm not going paintballing if there isn't ac. x___x
