Just a quick update about the staff holiday party.

There was an artisan cheese tray and everyone was garbed fancily. I was simultaneously underdressed and overdressed. Catered braised beef tacos, deep fried chips/salsa/guac, corn on the cob, and an open bar. The owners made a speech and gave out "tokens of appreciation" to people who'd been around since the business's inception. There was also a Secret Santa. I took the "family picture" because obviously I don't work there. I hope it turned out better than the time in the CSI chem video where I was all "hurr durr does green mean it's recording?" (For the record: no. Red is record.)

I make it sound boring but it was better than some staff holiday parties where I actually KNEW the folks, and I wish I could have stayed more than two and a half hours. Unfortunately, my exam is tomorrow at 9:30, and I need to pack stuff.
