Stratford is booked: Taming of the Shrew and Sound of Music on the 16th, and Hamlet on the 18th. Of special interest is the Taming of the Shrew. I remember seeing it in 2008, and hoping that Katherina's speech would be interpreted progressively (i.e, in line with 21st century gender roles, rather than 16th century ones). But alas, it was just kind of painful and I might have fallen asleep. Reviews say that this interpretation of the play is subversive and that Deborah Hay sets a high-water mark for the role.
Today in biking: Everything was going great until the trail at Morningside Park ended up being a gravel maintenance path to nowhere. Also bugs everywhere. I was COVERED with Deep Woods but they still got me.
Other: I am bad at sniping because I don't have very much FPS experience. | |
