I've been working on my report for almost a month, and it's still
almost done.
But. I'm glad I gave in and did the numerical beam analysis in Excel. If I'd had waited to get better at AutoCAD and the beam analysis tool I wanted, then I wouldn't be nearly as done.
That is, actually, one of the things I learned this term. How to make halfway acceptable and professional AutoCAD drawings.
Unfortunately the constant tweaking means that I need to fix my table numbers
again later, and I still need to format the spreadsheets for Word.
Am I proud of the report? Sorta, yeah. The deadline is comfortable. I'm working at a nearly luxurious pace. There are sandwiches in the boardroom today.
On the flip side: Work term evaluation review pending, and not having not done substantial
real work all day.
Less than 20 hours left. After that, I have
two full weeks to derp around and clean up loose ends.

Spoke too soon. Finished discussing the evaluation with my supervisor - he told me I was imaginative, and would make an "exceptional" engineer eventually, but that I seemed to lack enthusiasm. Well, no shit, I got discouraged halfway through about lack of stuff to do and commenced a viscious cycle of apathy. Ah well.
